Christmas Eve Traditions
Every year as long as I can remember my mom would make a different type of cookie everyday between Thanksgiving and Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve we would invite friends over to decorate cookies. Well this year at 8pm on Christmas Eve I got a little home sick and did what I like to do best... I baked. I made 4 different types of cookies. I had the tree lights on and the radio station tuned to Christmas Music. I had a good time and felt closer to my mom!

Cray Week
This is one of the craziest times of years for me. Work is extremely busy and Christmas is just around the corner. During the last few weeks of the year my focus is on preparing for January 1st. Not for parties, unless you call working a minimum of 20 hours straight a party, but the final test of our preparations and changes that were made for our new business. When claims start processing, Prior Authorization requests are entered and decisioned and phones are ringing. If you buy stock purchase stock in Tums, it is eaten like candy. Amongst all this craziness Christmas is knocking on the door. I've finished my shopping, mailed the gifts and am exchanging the gifts for my Ohio friends and Ohio family.
On Tuesday two of my coworkers came to Ohio and we were so excited to have them. Karen is from the Plano office and originally from a town 2 hours from Houston. This was her first time seeing it snow. Doug from the West Hills California office is from New Jersey and wasn't impressed. We tregged out to the back of the building (notice my Ohio slang)and snapped pictures. I love how you can see the snowflakes in the picture (I couldn't have staged it better myself). I was excited until I did a 180 on the street infront of my condo.
Come on Christmas week! I'm ready for you!!

Christmas Get Together 2008
This year my job has gone through some changes. The biggest was in August when I found out that I would be leaving Prior Authorization to form a new department. Because of so many changes we didn't get to have a leadership Christmas Party, but since we have all been working together for almost 9 years we decided to get together on our own. The event of the evening was Guitar Hero. Our ages ranged from 36 (me) to 48 (Jean). This was truly a site to be seen.
